Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Las Vegas is the gambling and adult entertainment capital of the world. It seems like most American teens can't wait to turn 21 years old in order to gamble in Vegas. Las Vegas Boulevard commonly known as "The Strip" together with Champ-Elysees in Paris are arguably the most popular boulevards in the whole world. Vegas started the mega hotel and casino resorts construction boom during the 1980s and it has become the venue of choice for major international concerts and fabulous sports events.

California, USA

California, the Golden State, is my home state. From the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Sierra Nevada mountains to the east, from the Redwood forests to the north and the Mojave Desert to the south, California is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Disneyland (2008)

For most kids, Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth! Also, for first-time visitors to California, their vacation will not be complete without a visit to Disneyland or Las Vegas.

The Sea World Adventure Park in San Diego is one of the most popular tourist destinations in California. The aquatic theme park opened in 1964 and currently features Wild Arctic, where beluga whales and polar bears can be viewed, and spectacular shows featuring killer whales and dolphins. The Sea World Sky Tower is a 320-foot observation tower that offers a spectacular view of Sea World and the City of San Diego. The Rocky Point Preserve includes a Dolphin Cove which is a gigantic pool of water where guests can interact with dolphins.

San Francisco (2005)

San Francisco is a very popular tourist destination in California. It's world-famous landmarks include the Golden Gate Bridge, arguably the most popular bridge in the world, the quaint cable cars, a unique way to traverse the city, and Chinatown where one can enjoy the best Chinese cuisine outside of Hong Kong. San Francisco is also the banking and financial gateway between Asia and the US.

Lake Lugano, Switzerland (2007)

Lake Lugano in Switzerland is a very quaint resort destination. This whole region is gorgeous. We traveled by tourist bus from the neighboring  spectacular resort community of Lake Maggiore in Italy.

The City of Lugano is sometimes referred to as the Monte Carlo of Switzerland. It is also the third largest Swiss banking center after Zurich and Geneva and one of the most popular vacation destinations in Switzerland. Because it is situated near the border with Italy, Lugano has a mixed Swiss-Italian culture.

New York City, New York, USA (2009)

New York, New York! The City that never sleeps... If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere...

The Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island. The people of France gave the statue to the people of the United States in recognition of the alliance and friendship between the two countries during the American Revolution. It has become the  universal symbol of freedom and democracy.

A look back at Manhattan Island from the ferry on our way to Liberty Island

Ellis Island was the gateway for approximately twelve million new immigrants entering the United States between 1900 and 1954. For most immigrants who dreamt of the American way of life, a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty and entry into Ellis Island would be the beginning of the American Dream!

The United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan. It is an international zone belonging to all member states. Construction of the United Nations Complex started in 1949 and completed a year later. Notice the absence of flags of member countries. The General Assembly was on recess during our visit.

Times Square, popularly known as "The Crossroads of the World" is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Manhattan. It is famous for the annual New Year's Eve Countdown and Celebration centered around the Times Square Ball Drop.

Broadway shows are the biggest, brightest, and most popular live theater entertainment in the whole world. One can't visit New York City on vacation and not watch a Broadway show.

The gilded Prometheus Sculpture

The Rockefeller Center is located at the center of midtown Manhattan and one of the most popular tourist destinations In New York City. During winter, the plaza is transformed into the world-famous ice rink where the public can skate alongside celebrities.
