The Philippines will always be a very special place for me, being the land of my birth. Popularly known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas, it boasts some of the best vacation destinations in Asia.
Boracay Island is the most popular vacation destination in the Philippines! Its world-famous white sand beach is made of fine coral particles which remain relatively cool even at noontime in the middle of Summer. This tropical paradise is part of the province of Aklan where I was born.
Tagaytay Highlands, one of the premier private weekend get-away resorts in the Philippines, is just one and one-half hour drive from Makati. It has a world-class golf course as well as a complete spa facility. Tagaytay has a much cooler micro-climate when compared to Metro Manila and has a spectacular view of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.
One of the premier vacation resort located in the island of Mactan in Cebu City. We really enjoyed our stay here. One gets a feeling of total tranquility as well as privacy. a world of its own. Yet it is located just 30 minutes away from Cebu City, the second largest metropolitan city in the Philippines.
The Chocolate Hills in the island of Bohol are one of the favorite tourist destinations in the Philippines. These unique geologic formations are composed of conical Karsts made of marine limestones. During Summer, the grass covered hills dry up and turn chocolate brown and the whole area is transformed into seemingly endless rows of chocolate kisses.
Panglao Island in Bohol is another top tourist destination in the Philippines. The dazzling white sand beach and the pristine turquoise waters make Panglao Island a great place to spend a weekend. It is a fifteen minute drive from the capital city of Tagbilaran and a one hour flight from Manila.
Makati Cityscape. The City of Makati is the commercial center of the Philippines. With its cosmopolitan culture, Makati is a popular destination for Expats. The Greenbelt Mall is my favorite place to hang out and just chill. The restaurants are the best in the whole country.
