Ellis Island was the gateway for approximately twelve million new immigrants entering the United States between 1900 and 1954. For most immigrants who dreamt of the American way of life, a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty and entry into Ellis Island would be the beginning of the American Dream!

The United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan. It is an international zone belonging to all member states.
